How Psychic Attack & Entity Attachments Interact With Your Free Will

I was teaching a module on Spirit Release and Psychic Attack over the weekend, and the question of free will came up — as it usually does.
The concept of psychic attack and entity attachment can be deeply disturbing the first time you encounter it. At its core, it is the idea that someone or something can harm your energy body, attach to your aura, or drain your life force without your conscious permission.
This idea had never entered my awareness until it happened to me personally. Since then, I have encountered it countless times and helped hundreds of clients navigate and clear similar experiences.
To understand it, we must first understand two things:
The human being was created in the image and likeness of God. We therefore have access to a source of infinite energy and divine intelligence.
Some beings — human or otherwise — have become disconnected from their source and therefore seek energy elsewhere. Many of these beings do not have physical bodies and therefore require non-physical sources of energy.
A person who is spiritually aligned and divinely attuned becomes a powerful source of energy and light.
A being disconnected from its source can become distorted or malevolent. We may then refer to it as an entity. It may seek to harm, interfere with, or drain others for seemingly no reason at all — or simply because your light is shining too brightly.
The question I — and many others — have wrestled with over the years is: How can this be allowed?
One perspective is that negative energy sent toward you does not necessarily need to be accepted.
If someone insults you, for example, you do not have to take it onboard. If someone calls you a purple Martian, and you know you are not a purple Martian, there is no reason to become upset. And even if you were a purple Martian, fully accepting yourself would remove the emotional charge entirely.
When it comes to energetic interference, however, things are not always so straightforward.
Most people do not immediately realise they have been attacked.
Most people also do not know how to defend themselves energetically.
So where is the free will in this?
Many people become fearful when considering non-physical attacks of this nature, largely because the unseen world remains unknown to them and there appears to be no obvious way to protect oneself. I encourage you instead to shine light on the subject, bring awareness to it, and take practical steps to strengthen and protect your energy field.
Imagine stepping into a boxing ring to challenge for a title. You can reasonably expect to get punched — unless your skill level is high enough to avoid it. By entering the ring, you have at least agreed to participate in the contest.
Earth is much like that boxing ring. When you agreed to incarnate here, perhaps you also agreed to the rules and conditions of earthly life.
Unfortunately, the ring often feels less like boxing and more like cage fighting — and at times it seems there are no rules at all.
Our greatest chance of survival and mastery comes from becoming the strongest person in the cage.
Energetically, this means our energy body and non-physical anatomy must become clean, healed, grounded, and strong.
The brighter you shine, the stronger your energetic foundation must become.
When you first begin your spiritual journey, your light starts to increase — but you are still like a white-belt martial artist. Your opposition will often reflect that level too.
As your light grows, however, your level of opposition may also increase. After all, how can a martial artist become a master without facing resistance?
In the world of energy, your opposition will often attempt to use your wounds, your shadow, your trauma, and your unconscious patterns against you.
Your practice, then, is to heal your wounds, transmute your shadow, strengthen your spirit, and deepen your connection to divine love.
Practice until the light of your love shines so brightly that no darkness can approach.
